Yeni Yol Model United Nations is a three-day international relations simulation for both middle school and high schools held on Yeni Yol Schools campus in Eskişehir. At YYMUN, delegates gain insight into the workings of the United Nations and the dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of world leaders and international decision-makers. By engaging in topics concerning international and national security, political and economic development, human rights, sustainability, and more, delegates use their creativity- especially in the futuristic committee- learn to navigate the intricacies of international negotiation and teamwork, adopt new perspectives, and develop comprehensive resolutions on pressing global issues. We simply expect delegates to think critically about the world around them and to think in new and ambitious ways. What is the purpose of multilateral organizations like the United Nations? What can they achieve? How do we balance national interests with the interests of the international community? How do we ensure that those with power use it responsibly? What can young people do to affect change in their own communities and the world at large?
This year, YYMUN will strive to provide delegates from around the country with an opportunity to participate in a dynamic, educational, and enriching opportunity to hone in and showcase their abilities. It is this passion, commitment, and care that make YYMUN one of the premier Model UN conferences.
